Gagik Khachatryan's Nephew Re-Arrested: NSS
The National Security Service of Armenia, committed to maintaining a transparent principle in its operations, has noted public interest surrounding the ongoing criminal investigation into Gagik Khachatryan and several individuals who previously held high positions in the State Revenue Committee and the Ministry of Finance.
In its report, the NSS informed that the decision of the Court of Appeals dated February 17, 2020, has overturned the previous ruling by the Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court on January 22, 2020, which had allowed the replacement of arrested Karen Khachatryan's detention with a bail of 20 million AMD, declaring his release on bail as impermissible.
Currently, Karen Khachatryan remains in a correctional facility as the pre-trial investigation continues.
