The State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition Urges Against Unjustified Price Hikes for Medical Masks and Antiviral Medications
The State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition of Armenia urges economic operators in the drug circulation sector to refrain from unjustified price increases for medical masks, antiviral medications, and other medical supplies, as well as from creating artificial shortages in the market.
At the same time, the Commission informs that ongoing monitoring is being conducted in this sector. In cases of potential violations or abuses, the Commission will initiate administrative proceedings and impose strict liabilities as stipulated by law.
We also remind that the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition is conducting a study on the drug circulation sector this year.
It is worth recalling that Auroranews recently reported that there are no medical masks available in Armenia, while the coronavirus is very close, leading citizens to raise alarm.
