Factory in Southern China Starts Producing 1.2 Million Medical Masks Daily

A factory of the Chinese company Xingshi Equipments in Guangdong province, southern China, has begun producing 1.2 million medical masks daily to protect against the novel coronavirus. This was reported by the Xinhua News Agency on February 24.

According to the agency, the automated production line, which previously manufactured children's clothing and medical wipes, was able to be quickly repurposed for mass production of this in-demand product under the directive of the Guangzhou city administration.

According to the latest data from the Chinese National Health Commission, there have been 77,150 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the country, with 2,592 fatalities.
