Death Due to Pneumonia at Astghik Medical Center is of Armenian Nationality: Center Director
The individual who passed away due to pneumonia at Astghik Medical Center is not an Iranian citizen, stated the center's director Asatur Asatryan in an interview with Aysor.am.
"The deceased was not an Iranian citizen; he is an Armenian citizen. The cause of death was bilateral pneumonia," he mentioned.
Asatryan added that the presence of coronavirus has yet to be confirmed. "We have sent the test, but there is a 90% chance it will not be coronavirus. I don't understand where the information came from that this person is an Iranian national; perhaps it's because of panic, people are scared, that's the reason," the director remarked.
Earlier, there were reports in the media that an Iranian citizen had died at the medical center.
