Undisclosed Suspicious Deaths in the Army are a Serious Challenge: 'Heritage'
The 'Heritage' party has issued a statement noting that in the last month and a half, more than ten young soldiers have reportedly died, which it describes as an unacceptable reality.
“The 'Heritage' party expresses deep sorrow that such incidents in our armed forces have begun to transform from exceptions into a dangerous pattern. Under the guise of a so-called ceasefire, the undisclosed suspicious deaths occurring in our army are posing a serious challenge to our statehood, making the military capability and defense of Armenia and Artsakh vulnerable.
We extend our deepest condolences and support to the families and loved ones of the fallen soldiers. At the same time, we consider it our civic and party duty to demand that the relevant authorities of Armenia take urgent measures to resolve the situation and publicly clarify the 'unexplained circumstances.' If the basis of all this lies in non-statutory relations and 'criminal subculture', then the army and law enforcement bodies must eradicate any such manifestations under the unconditional oversight of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia and the commander of the Artsakh Defense Army,” the statement reads.
