The Government Will Ensure Free Expression of the Armenian People’s Will During the Referendum: Pashinyan
The government of the Republic of Armenia will take steps to ensure the free expression of the Armenian citizens' will during the referendum on constitutional amendments. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a question-and-answer session with the government in the National Assembly, in response to a question from Suren Grigoryan, a member of the 'My Step' faction.
“We need to ensure that the campaign takes place in a competitive environment and guarantees the free expression of the will of the Armenian people. We must create conditions where fake news and hate speech have no place in our society. If we want to have a community free from violence, we must recognize that hate speech is an action that precedes violence,” said Pashinyan.
