How Will It Be Discovered If a Taxi Service Posts Competitor Ads in Prohibited Areas: Sarik Minasyan
According to the law being discussed in the National Assembly, it will be prohibited to post advertisements on the walls of buildings, trees, columns, and so on. Necessary numbers of panels will be installed for advertisements. However, this could also create issues related to administration, according to the lawmakers.
“If a competing company, say Taxi Service X, posts ads for its competitor at night, and they catch the other one and fine them, how will that be discovered? Who will monitor it to uncover it? A competitor could post unauthorized advertisements for its rival at night to cause harm,” questioned MP Sarik Minasyan during the discussion.
The author of the project, Arthur Hovhannisyan, acknowledged that there is a problem with oversight, but he does not start from the assumption that people will act in such a manner.
