Protest Against the Construction of the North-South Road
Residents of the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district are currently staging a protest against the construction of the North-South road.
The residents argue that the road should be at least 12 meters away from the entrance of apartment buildings, but according to them, this is not reflected in the project.
They express their demand for the street to be constructed in a way that allows residents to continue living there: "We have gone many times to speak with them. They said a 12-meter high wall should be built, then they said it needs to be lowered. We asked how people would pass, and they said an alternate road would be provided, which does not meet the requirements. This is not a whim; it simply doesn’t work. We cannot enter or exit the street."
They emphasize that the road project poses obstacles to their safety.
