For Us, There Are No Former or Current Corrupt Officials: Pashinyan on Vermishyan's Arrest
Every corrupt official will stand trial. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, on his Facebook page in relation to the arrest of Vahagn Vermishyan, the Chairman of the State Committee of Urban Development of Armenia.
“Today, the highest-level arrest in the Third Republic took place. We are not joking when we say that corruption has no place in our country. For us, there are no former or current corrupt officials. Whether present or former, every corrupt official will stand before the court,” Pashinyan noted.
The National Security Service announced on February 5 that Vahagn Vermishyan had been arrested on suspicion of receiving a particularly large bribe.
