What Did Armen Sarkissian Discuss with Bank Leaders

President Armen Sarkissian met on February 5 with leaders and representatives of several commercial banks in Armenia. According to the press office of the President of the Republic of Armenia, President Sarkissian noted that he consistently emphasizes during his meetings abroad that Armenia has a stable and developed banking system, which is very important for presenting the advantages of Armenia to potential investors and for fostering trust in the country.

He considered the stability of the banking and financial system a favorable precondition for making investments and starting businesses in Armenia.

At the President's suggestion, the bank leaders presented their approaches regarding the developments within the system, existing challenges, and their solutions. A discussion was held on the financial and banking systems of Armenia, the overall economy, the development of banks, and international cooperation.
