Snowstorm in Sotk-Karvachar, Aratik-Alagyaz Road Impassable
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of 20:45 on February 5, there are closed and impassable roads in the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed to all types of vehicles.
The Sotk-Karvachar road is difficult to pass due to a snowstorm, as well as the Aratik-Alagyaz road in the Shirak region.
The Gyumri-Bavra road is impassable for trucks.
There are patches of black ice on the roads in Kotayk, Syunik regions, the Tsaghkadzor area of Aragatsotn region, Kuchak-Aparan, and Yerevan-Sevan, Gyumri-Bavra roads.
Fog is present in the chains of Chayni.
In the Saravan-"Zanger" section, in the town of Jermuk in Vayots Dzor region, and in the Aragatsotn and Shirak regions—except for the Ani and Aratik areas—there is snow.
According to information received from the Ministry of Interior’s Emergency Management Department of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of North Ossetia in Russia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for passenger vehicles but closed for trucks.
