EU Rejects US Deal of the Century

The head of European Union diplomacy, Josep Borrell, has announced that the US initiative for resolving the Palestine-Israel conflict, also known as the Deal of the Century, does not align with the parameters agreed upon by the international community. He warned that the annexation of occupied territories on the western bank of the Jordan River would not go unanswered.

"The initiative presented by the US on January 28 deviates from internationally agreed parameters. To build a fair and sustainable world, unresolved issues related to the final status must be resolved through direct negotiations between the two sides. This includes, in particular, questions related to borders, the status of Jerusalem, security, and the refugee issue," the statement said.
