Swedish MPs Nominate Greta Thunberg for Nobel Peace Prize
Swedish 17-year-old eco-activist Greta Thunberg and her climate movement, "Fridays for Future," have been nominated once again for the Nobel Peace Prize. The nomination was submitted in a letter to the Norwegian Nobel Committee by Left Party MPs Håkan Svenneling and Jens Holm. This was reported by the TT agency, as conveyed by Armenpress.
The work done by Thunberg and her movement has significantly contributed to the discussion of climate issues at the highest political levels, and without them, the matter would not be as urgent on the agenda, argue the two parliamentarians.
“Greta Thunberg and the 'Fridays for Future' movement have created a global movement with minimal resources,” added Holm, as reported by TASS.
