New Investigation to be Conducted in the Pavel Sheremet Case in Ukraine
The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has reported that investigators from the National Police have been tasked with conducting additional investigative actions in the case of journalist Pavel Sheremet's murder. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
In this case, prosecutor Sergey Zuzak stated that investigators intend to ask the Prosecutor General's office to extend the pre-trial investigation deadlines by four months.
"Prosecutors and leading officials in the criminal proceedings concerning Pavel Sheremet's murder have issued written instructions to the pre-trial body to carry out additional investigative (search) actions aimed at uncovering all circumstances of the crime, including a thorough examination of the dubious arguments presented by the defense," the press service's statement said.
