Vardenyats Pass Closed; Roads Update as of 08:30
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of 08:30 on January 27, certain roads in the Republic of Armenia are closed or difficult to traverse. The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks and difficult for passenger cars.
The Sotk-Karvachar road is impassable for all vehicle types. In the Syunik region, there are areas with black ice on the roads.
According to information received from the Georgia Ministry of Internal Affairs Emergency Management Department and the North Ossetia Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Stepanstminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
