Fog Present in the Chayni Pass, Goris

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of January 20 at 23:00, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads within the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is open for cargo vehicles without tire chains. The Sotk-Karvachar road is closed for trucks and difficult to navigate for other vehicles.

In the Syunik region, there are spots of black ice on roads. In Goris, at the area known as 'Meghru Sar', fog is present on the Sotk-Karvachar road and in the Vardenyats Pass, specifically in the Chayni twists.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia's North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles.
