I Deleted the Previous Post: Nikol Pashinyan
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, wrote on his Facebook page: “I deleted the previous post because there is a need for clarifications between several of our agencies. I should also mention that according to the disputed agency’s data, the number of people arriving in Armenia in 2019 is higher than the number proposed by another agency, which I had published. Therefore, the dispute is not pessimistic but optimistic. I will clarify this shortly.”
It was earlier reported by the Prime Minister that 2,150,383 people arrived in Armenia in 2019. “In 2018, 1,906,722 people arrived in Armenia. In 2017, 1,751,729 people arrived in Armenia. Compared to 2017, in 2019, 398,654 more people arrived in Armenia, or an increase of 22.7 percent. I should also mention that after the non-violent, velvet, popular revolution of 2018, a positive balance was recorded in favor of arrivals. In other words, unlike the last many years, in both 2018 and 2019, more people arrived in Armenia than left,” he stated.
