Emergency Situations Ministry Denies Earthquake Threat
Moments ago, Auroranews received an alert about an emergency situation at the "Dalma Garden Mall": people are being evacuated and several ambulance vehicles are on-site.
Auroranews.am contacted the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which stated that someone has spread false information claiming an earthquake is imminent, causing panic among residents.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations has just released an official denial. Below is the statement:
Dear citizens, news is circulating online that a strong earthquake is expected in the territory of the Republic of Armenia, particularly in Yerevan. The Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations officially declares that there is no basis for spreading such information, as the current seismic situation in the Republic is monitored by the service, and therefore there is no reason for panic.
