Roads Closed and Impassable in the Republic

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of January 4, at 11:30, there are closed and impassable roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks, while it is difficult to pass for passenger vehicles.

The Sotk-Karvachar road is impassable, and it is only passable for trucks with the use of chains.

On the Sotk-Karvachar road, in the Vardenyats Pass, and on some roads in Kotayk Province, there is black ice present.

Fog is reported in the Vardenyats Pass, as well as in Dilijan, Berd, and Noyemberyan in the Tavush Province, and in the city of Artashat in Aragatsotn Province.

According to information received from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the EMERCOM of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepanstminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
