MP Gayane Abrahamyan wrote on her Facebook page: “Dear friends, the police is currently working on disclosing the brutality (forgive me, but I cannot label it otherwise) of the incident captured in the widely circulated video and providing appropriate punishment. I hope that we will inform you about the legal results in the near future.

This is the consequence of the same criminal culture of violence, justification, and impunity that we have been talking about for decades, which, unfortunately, cannot be uprooted in one or two years. The fight against it cannot only be carried out by the police, although the overwhelming burden lies primarily on this body. However, the role of education and media is much greater. The influence of TV series that generate and often glorify these very vices has unfortunately been underestimated for years...”
