Call for Sobriety: A Statement from the Candidate for HFF President

The candidate for the president of the Football Federation of Armenia (HFF), Tovmas Grigoryan, has made a statement ahead of the elections scheduled for today. The statement reads:

“Dear compatriots,
There are only a few hours left until the extraordinary election of the HFF president, but the repressions of the Nikoghosyan-Melikbeyan tandem continue. Even today, there are pressures on the member organizations of the HFF; their associates are calling the heads of organizations to inform them that they will appoint a new delegate while providing medical certificates for the previous ones. There are corresponding recordings that will be published if necessary.

I call for sobriety – the football family must independently decide on its leader. Otherwise, the consequences will be irreparable.”
