According to photo journalist Gagik Shamshyan, he approached the Sisian police and reported that a review of the operations and camera footage at the supermarket 'Belka' owned by 'Lena Meliksetyan' revealed that the supermarket cashier, 33-year-old Karine Vardazaryan, had been regularly stealing money from the cash register entrusted to her and various products from the supermarket.

K. Vardazaryan is suspected of causing damage to the supermarket amounting to 7-8 million drams. All of this has also been recorded by surveillance cameras, and numerous reports received from Sisian point out: 'One person steals a chicken or an aluminum container and gets caught, being sentenced to several years. But now, this one, confident that nothing will happen to her, carries out embezzlement and theft in the presence of cameras while taking away millions, walking around freely. Later, they say that the situation has changed and even big fish won’t slip away from their crimes. But in this case, it’s not a big fish, it’s a shark. Otherwise, if it were a small fish, the investigative committee would have already gone after her like small fish and transferred her to the women’s prison in Abovyan. Probably her husband is her protector, who is the head of intelligence at the Sisian military unit. The couple is originally from Jermuk but are in Sisian due to work.
