Yerevan City Hall's New Year Budget Is 325.7 Million Drams: Clarification

The Yerevan City Hall has refuted circulating figures regarding the New Year budget. It states, "The Yerevan City Hall's New Year budget amounts to 325.7 million drams. Recently, one of the websites published information claiming that the budget for the New Year and Christmas holidays for the Yerevan City Hall will not be 325 million drams, but rather 548 million. This website took advantage of the fact that during the extraordinary session of the council on December 6, the deputy mayor mistakenly said 277 million drams instead of the 271 million drams allocated to the Yerevan City Hall by the Armenian government. The author of the article added the 271 million drams to the mistakenly stated 277 million drams, presenting the resulting 548 million drams as this year's New Year expenses.

However, a draft decision released on the city hall's website clearly states the figure of 271 million 797 thousand 100 drams. To this amount, the 54 million drams already allocated in the 2019 budget of the Yerevan City Hall must be added, resulting in total New Year expenses for 2020 to be 325 million 797 thousand 100 drams. Incidentally, the website had already received the actual figures from the Yerevan City Hall in response to their inquiry."
