«Hraparak». Discussion on Reciprocal Visits of Armenian and Azerbaijani MPs
«Hraparak» newspaper reports that within the framework of the Armenia-Azerbaijan reconciliation process, after the reciprocal visits of journalists from both countries, the issue of reciprocal visits of parliamentarians from the two sides is under discussion in the second phase. According to our information, preliminary discussions have already taken place.
Reports indicate that the only MP whose visit has been vetoed by Azerbaijan is Naira Zohrabyan from the Prosperous Armenia Party, who is considered an extreme nationalist by the Azerbaijani side. She had previously threatened Aliyev from the podium of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
More details can be found in today’s issue of the newspaper.
