Hairdresser's Father Confirms Incident, Ararat Governor Denies It
The driver of Ararat Governor Garik Sargsyan, along with several other young men, went to demand explanations from a hairdresser who was unable to serve the governor promptly, said the hairdresser's father, Razmik Barfyan, in an interview with Azatutyun. The governor himself denies that such an incident occurred, according to Azatutyun.
“The governor wanted to go, let’s say, get a haircut or just relax a bit. At that moment, Serob had a female client in his chair, he also works as a female hairdresser, and at that moment he responded that ‘I have a client here, I cannot accept you right now.’ I don’t know what else he said, but after that, some guys came and pulled Serob, saying what, some such thing happened,” the hairdresser's father recounted.
“From the very beginning, this is a lie, slander, because I did not go to his hairdressing salon at all that day,” the governor asserted in return. The Barfyans, characterizing the incident as a brawl, were not very inclined to speak on this topic, especially after being asked whether the law enforcement had inquired about the incident.
