Court Hearings on the Seizure of the Patrol Service Battalion Will Again Be Open to the Public
Today, the court was scheduled to hear the testimony of the last defendant, Areg Kureghyan, in the case concerning the seizure of the Patrol Service Battalion, involving Pavel Manukyan, Varujan Avetisyan, and others. It is important to note that the court had previously imposed sanctions on Kureghyan and removed him from the courtroom due to inappropriate behavior.
Kureghyan's lawyer, Tigran Yegoryan, was also present today. He requested time to prepare for questioning and was involved as the defender of defendant Smbat Barseghyan's interests, announcing that Smbat will testify again in court, as he had refused to speak during the previous session.
During today’s session, Pavel Manukyan requested that the court hearings be held openly again. It is worth mentioning that for an extended period, the hearings have been partially closed, only allowing for media presence. The court approved this motion. Starting from the next court session on December 11, the courtroom will also accommodate supporters and relatives of the defendants.
