Why was Movses Hakobyan dismissed? Defense Ministry spokesman explains

Movses Hakobyan's dismissal and that of his deputies is connected to structural changes in the Military General Inspectorate. In a conversation with NEWS.am, Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan stated that the Military General Inspectorate will be renamed and transferred under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Defense.

"The functions will remain the same, but it will be renamed and moved under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Defense," he said.

It is noteworthy that today, by the decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Movses Hakobyan was relieved of his duties as chief military inspector, along with his deputies Kamo Kochunts and Vachagan Nersesyan.

Additionally, the Military General Inspectorate was previously under the jurisdiction of the President of the Republic.
