BREAKING: American Senator Blocks Armenian Genocide Recognition Resolution
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has blocked the Senate from adopting a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide, which was perpetrated over a century ago during the Ottoman Empire, as reported by RIA Novosti.
"I just met with (Turkey's President) Erdogan and (US President) Trump and talked about the issues we are facing due to Turkey's incursion into Syria. I hope that Turkey and Armenia can resolve that issue together," Graham stated during a televised Senate meeting.
Graham, who is considered a close ally of Trump, added that senators "should neither sanitize nor rewrite history."
