Who is Entitled to Compensation for Deposits Made in the USSR Savings Bank

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informs that those eligible for compensation for monetary deposits made in the former USSR Savings Bank are individuals born on or before December 31, 1934. This includes cases where the deposit was made by a deceased spouse during their joint married life, as well as participants in combat operations of the Armed Forces of Armenia, including instances where the deposit was made by a deceased spouse during their joint married life.

Below is the compensation amount based on the amount of deposit (in Soviet rubles) as converted into Armenian drams:

• For a deposit amount of up to 1000: Compensation amount (in AMD) = Deposit amount x 841.
• For a deposit amount from 1001 to 3000 (inclusive): Compensation amount = 84000 + (the amount exceeding 1000 Soviet rubles x 29.4).
• For a deposit amount from 3001 to 5000 (inclusive): Compensation amount = 142800 + (the amount exceeding 3000 Soviet rubles x 16.8).
• For a deposit amount from 5001 to 10000 (inclusive): Compensation amount = 176400 + (the amount exceeding 5000 Soviet rubles x 8).
• For a deposit amount over 10000: Compensation amount = 216400 + (the amount exceeding 10000 Soviet rubles x 4).
