Frost and Road Icing Expected: Gagik Surenyann
Gagik Surenyann, the head of the meteorological center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, discussed the snowfall and rain-snow mix that occurred in Armenia on the night of November 1-2 during a broadcast on SHANTNEWS.am. According to him, snow and wind will continue in the mountainous areas of the republic until November 4, after which sunny weather is expected. In the Ararat Plain, temperatures will drop, though snow is unlikely.
Gagik Surenyann urged special attention to be paid to non-frost-resistant tree species and plants, and advised drivers traveling to Gyumri, Aparan, Gegharkunik region, and other high-altitude areas to use only winter tires, as the roads are expected to ice over.
