Traffic Police Implements Enhanced Service; Results Are Concerning
From October 28 to November 3, the officers of the 1st Patrol Battalion of the Traffic Police conducted enhanced services in the capital, towing 192 vehicles to designated areas. Among these, 35 drivers were found to be under the influence of alcohol, while others either lacked proper documentation or committed severe violations of traffic regulations, endangering the lives and health of other road users.
During the enhanced service, 57 vehicles were also identified that were operating with violations in the transparency of the front windshield. 29 drivers rectified the violation on-site by removing the tint from their windshields.
Simultaneously, in the regions, the officers of the 2nd Patrol Battalion of the Traffic Police conducted enhanced services as well, towing 56 vehicles to designated areas, with 35 drivers found to be intoxicated.
Additionally, 2 vehicles operating without license plates, 86 without mandatory insurance, and 81 vehicles with tinted windows were identified. 42 drivers were fined for throwing various items and objects out of their vehicles onto the street.
The enhanced operations of the Traffic Police will continue.
