Army Base Desertion Charge Filed Against Soldier
A soldier from Vanadzor who voluntarily left his military unit a few days ago has been charged under Article 361, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code (voluntary leaving of a military unit or place of service).
This was reported by Naira Harutyunyan, head of the information and public relations department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia. She noted that the soldier has been handed over to the command's custody.
It is worth mentioning that the soldier had deserted the military unit for about 10 days and was found at a friend's house. According to his lawyer, the soldier had faced financial issues within the military unit.
