VIDEO: A Minute of Silence at the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Honor of Fallen Rescuer Samvel Develyan
On November 1, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia held its weekly expanded regular consultation, led by Acting Director of the Service, Lieutenant General Vrej Gabrielyan. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Before the meeting commenced, employees honored the memory of firefighter-rescuer Samvel Develyan, who lost his life while performing firefighting operations in the Lori region, with a minute of silence.
Leaders of various divisions of the Emergency Service, as well as heads of the Yerevan and regional rescue administrations, reported on emergency calls recorded in the past week, measures taken, trainings conducted and planned, civil defense posts, and the technical condition of vehicles.
Officials briefed Acting Director Vrej Gabrielyan on the work carried out during the reporting period.
Among other issues, Vrej Gabrielyan also noted that the personnel of the Emergency Service have received their first increased salary, which brings more responsibility.
At the end of the consultation, Acting Director of the Emergency Service, Lieutenant General V. Gabrielyan, summarized the results and issued a number of instructions.
