Alert Issued to Police from Zoo After Animal Attacks
Following the second incident of animal attacks, the zoo has alerted the police this morning, urging them to take measures to neutralize the stray dogs.
This was confirmed in response to our inquiry by the Public Relations and Information Department of the Armenian Police.
It is noteworthy that this morning, a second incident involving the intrusion of stray dogs into the territory of the Yerevan Zoo was recorded. The zoo reports that the pack attacked three mouflons (two males and one female) kept in the park, resulting in the animals' death. Efforts to capture the dogs have been unsuccessful.
The staff at the Yerevan Zoo believes that the pack that entered the zoo is likely the same one that attacked the kangaroos yesterday, on October 31.
