Vehicle Falls into Canal on Yerevan-Yeraskh Highway, Injuries Reported
On October 31, at 14:26, the '911' service was informed that an accident occurred on the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway near the village of Marmarashen. There are reported injuries and a gas leak, necessitating the assistance of rescuers.
A firefighting and rescue team from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a 'VAZ-21015' vehicle (driver: Garush F., born in 1970) had veered off the roadway and overturned into a nearby canal, approximately 12 km from the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway.
Before the rescuers arrived, Garush F. was hospitalized at 'Erebuni Medical Center,' while passenger Gevorg H. (born in 1978) was hospitalized at Masis Medical Center, where he received first aid and was later transferred to 'Erebuni Medical Center.'
The rescuers deactivated the vehicle and maintained a watch until the gas cylinder was emptied.
