Severe Traffic Accident in Gegharkunik Region: Casualties Reported

On October 29, a serious traffic accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. Around 13:20, two vehicles collided on the 12th kilometer section of the Sevan-Martuni-Getap road. The accident involved a Nissan car driven by 33-year-old Khachatur O. from Yerevan and a SAZ 3507 vehicle driven by 79-year-old Graf M. from Gegharkunik.

According to reports, as a result of the collision, the Nissan veered off the road and flipped over, with driver Khachatur O. sustaining injuries and being transported to the 'Sevan' medical center.

Officers from the 1st platoon of the 4th company of the 2nd traffic police battalion arrived at the scene, led by Platoon Commander Edgar Suslyan and Squad Commander Vruyr Gabrielyan. Senior Investigator Margaryan, from the same battalion, was in charge of the investigative work at the scene, and materials related to the incident are being prepared. An operational group from the Sevan police station also quickly arrived, led by a community police inspector.
