Citizens Continue to Accumulate Construction Waste in Korea Gorge: Fine of 200,000 Drams
The Facebook page of the Arabkir administrative district reports that despite numerous appeals, citizens continue to accumulate construction waste in the Churjantsik Tunnel neighborhood (Korea Gorge) in an area not designated for waste disposal.
“Although in recent months there have also been incidents of waste collection vehicles overturning here, citizens refuse to abandon their habit of violating the law at their own risk. Employees of the Arabkir administrative district identified four vehicles loaded with construction waste within a single day. Such violations of the law carry a fine of 200,000 drams. Measures are also being developed for the contractors who direct construction waste to unauthorized locations. Such individuals could lose their construction permits. The issue is also within the purview of police oversight,” the post states.
