Rain Continues for 9 Days: At Least 13 Dead in the Philippines
At least 13 people have died as a result of floods, landslides, and incidents caused by heavy rainfall in the northern regions of the Philippines, which has been ongoing for nine days. The intense rainfall, exacerbated by tropical storms, has led to the suspension of operations at educational institutions and government offices on Luzon Island, alongside flooding in the streets of the capital, Manila.
In Baguio, a resort city, four citizens lost their lives after a rain-soaked slope collapsed onto several residential homes. Rescue teams have cleared the rubble while searching for six other residents who have been reported missing one day after the incident.
