Defense Ministry Personnel Involved in Accident, Injuries Reported

Today, on October 18, a major car accident occurred in the Armavir region. At around 20:45, on the 26th kilometer of the Yerevan-Armavir highway, near the well-known site "Lentrasum," vehicles with license plates 55 XX 090 (Land Rover) and 35 SZ 633 (Mercedes C180) collided.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, three individuals sustained injuries and received first aid on-site from doctors of the "Vagharshapat" medical center before being transferred to the "Ejmiatsin" medical center.

Witnesses at the scene noted that the driver of the Mercedes serves as an officer in the Armenian Ministry of Defense's N military unit, while the driver of the Land Rover is a conscript soldier in the same unit. Considering this circumstance, officers from the military police of the Armavir region, led by division head Colonel Vahagn Agajanyan, promptly arrived at the scene and subsequently left for the "Vagharshapat" medical center.
