Government Forces Welcomed with Applause and Flowers: Situation in Syria (Photos)

The Syrian Democratic Forces have succeeded in liberating the village of al-Managhr, located near the Sari Kani - Tal Tamr highway, from armed groups, considered opposition and supported by Turkey, causing significant human losses as well. This information was shared by expert Karen Hovhannisyan on his Facebook page regarding Turkish-Kurdish issues.

The expert regularly provides information directly from primary sources. He states that currently, the Syrian government troops are advancing through villages controlled by military groups that oppose the Syrian authority with Turkish support.

Residents of these villages are welcoming the Syrian government forces with applause and flowers. At this moment, the Syrian government troops are moving from the village of al-Hassan towards the village of al-Havsharya, located northeast of Manbij.

While Manbij is undoubtedly important, the expert believes that at this stage, Kobani and Afrin are much more significant. The strategic return of these two cities would essentially compel not only Turkey to withdraw from Syria but also the opposition armed groups supported by Turkey in the game.

“Anyone who has been in these areas and understands the geographical position will confirm that the main part of the area north of M4 highway is located in the vicinity of Manbij, but is more critical, namely Afrin, Kobani, and Ein Issa,” Hovhannisyan wrote.
