Five GAZ Vehicles Already in Yerevan: Hakob Karapetyan
Hakob Karapetyan, the press secretary of the Yerevan mayor, has made a post on his Facebook page announcing that five new garbage trucks have arrived in Yerevan.
"These five GAZ vehicles are already in Yerevan and will soon join the waste collection efforts. They have a relatively small capacity (8 cubic meters), compact dimensions, and are very useful for collecting garbage from courtyard areas. An additional 15 vehicles of this type will arrive shortly. Street cleaning and washing equipment is also being procured, and the staff of the Yerevan waste management agency is continuously being reinforced. During the challenging summer months, there have been several occasions to request patience from the residents of Yerevan. Now is the time to express gratitude and affirm that the waste crisis, as promised by Mayor Marutyan’s team, is a thing of the past. In this way, all issues will be resolved successively. Meanwhile, I hope those who predicted a collapse of waste management and its political implications will find the courage to acknowledge this fact," Karapetyan wrote.
