Gagik Khachatryan's Sons Not Charged, NSS Reports

The former head of the State Revenue Committee and former Minister of Finance, Gagik Khachatryan's sons, Artyom and Gurgen Khachatryan, have not been charged with any crimes. Factor.am sought to clarify with the National Security Service whether Gagik Khachatryan's sons have been charged and if the service has any information regarding their whereabouts.

In response to our written inquiry, the NSS press service stated, “The sons of the former President of the State Revenue Committee and former Minister of Finance Gagik Khachatryan, Artyom and Gurgen Khachatryan, are not involved as defendants in any criminal case, thus there is currently no information on their whereabouts.”

It is noteworthy that Gagik Khachatryan has been charged under part 2 of Article 308 and part 1 of Article 179 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia for abuse of power and embezzlement of particularly large amounts.
