Accident on the Yerevan-Meghri Road Section: Car Falls into a Ravine
On September 25, at 15:46, the "911" service received a call reporting an accident near the intersection of the city of Jermuk in the Vayots Dzor province, requiring the help of rescuers. A firefighting and rescue team from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that a "Mercedes Sprinter" vehicle (driver: Erik H., born in 1979) had gone off the roadway at the 149th km of the M-2 highway (Yerevan-Meghri) and slid into an adjacent ravine (about 10 m), resulting in bodily injuries to the driver.
The rescuers assisted the driver to the ambulance, and he was hospitalized at Vayk Medical Center, where doctors assessed his health condition as satisfactory. Special equipment is required to retrieve the vehicle from the roadway.
