‘Hayastani Hanrapetutyun’ reports: “The anniversary of independence was celebrated by members of the Republican Party, led by Serzh Sargsyan, in the Lori region. They initially laid flowers at the monument to fallen soldiers in the Vanadzor pantheon, followed by a collective prayer at the Haghpat monastery complex and St. John Church.

In the end, as Vahram Baghdasaryan informed us, they participated in a festive meal at one of the restaurant complexes in Haghpat. Although representatives from all regional structures were invited to the Republican Party’s event, according to our information, many did not attend, believing that the Republican Party’s train has already left, and they do not want to jeopardize their positions. As a result, only the Lori structure participated with its leadership.

Vahram Baghdasaryan assured us that more people attended than expected; they had organized an event for 300 people, considering the limited space of the hall, but about 500 party members participated: “We invited evenly from all regions, and we did not have any gaps. Yes, we held the lunch in Haghpat, and the venue was limited, which is why we invited fewer people — 300 in total, but there was an issue with the Ijevan structure, as they informed us they would be delayed due to a car accident.”
