Earthquake in Pakistan: Magnitude Reaches 9
On September 24, at 15:01 local time (11:01 GMT), a 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck in Pakistan, 19 kilometers northeast of the town of Jhelum, at a depth of 10 kilometers according to the seismic network of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The seismic intensity in the epicentral area reached 9 on the scale.
According to RIA Novosti, the earthquake resulted in 5 casualties and over 100 injuries.
