Border Situation Relatively Stable At This Time: Commander of the Defense Army

According to the Minister of Defense and Commander of the Defense Army Lieutenant General Karen Abrahamyan, the current border situation is relatively stable. In an interview with an Armenpress correspondent, the commander noted that on September 22 at approximately 16:15, during an attempt by the Azerbaijani forces to infiltrate one of the combat positions located in the southeastern part of the Artsakh-Azerbaijan contact line, the personnel of the Defense Army successfully repelled the attackers, forcing them back to their original positions and leaving one body in the neutral zone.

“In connection with this issue, we have been approached by representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the OSCE. The assistants of the personal representative of the OSCE Chairman, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, are currently in the neutral zone conducting operations to retrieve the soldier's body,” the minister added.
