President Armen Sarkissian Urges Journalists to Read the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia
After an event dedicated to Independence Day in Gyumri, President Armen Sarkissian was asked by journalists for his opinion on the constitutional crisis that has emerged in the country, which grants oversight authority to political figures over all three branches of government.
“I suggest that you read the Constitution; it does not state that I must oversee them. I made a very clear and concise call 1.5 years ago,” he stated.
In response to other questions from journalists, the President did not provide answers and instead urged them to read the Constitution.
