Gravestones Vandalized Again at Nubarashen Cemetery
Gravestones have once again been vandalized at the Nubarashen Cemetery. This information was reported to Tert.am by a concerned citizen. In the letter, it is mentioned: "Between September 13-15, an unknown individual or individuals vandalized the graves of my father, grandfather, and many others. We have already cleaned my father’s and grandfather’s gravestones, but many other graves are still in a defiled state."
According to the Public Relations and Information Department of the Armenian Police, on September 17 at 18:00, police received a call from a citizen reporting that from 17:00 on September 15 to 18:00 on September 16, gravestones and headstones of relatives buried in the Nubarashen Cemetery were soiled with candle wax.
Currently, materials are being prepared at the police station. It should be noted that this is not the first incident of gravestone vandalism at the Nubarashen Cemetery. Similar incidents have recently occurred in the cemeteries of Charentsavan, Zovuni, and the Yerablur Military Pantheon.
