What Individuals Should Know When Importing a Vehicle from Non-EAEU Countries: SCS
From January 1st, when importing a vehicle for personal use from a third country into the Eurasian Economic Union zone, customs duties and taxes will be calculated at a unified rate. This rate includes the sum of customs duties and value-added tax without breaking down these taxes. The calculation will depend on the year of manufacture of the vehicle, its value, and the engine displacement.
This process is regulated by Decision No. 107 of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council dated December 20, 2017.
Regardless of the unified rate, the environmental tax will also continue to be collected in accordance with Article 171 of the Tax Code of Armenia, both now and from 2020 onwards.
