VIDEO: Pashinyan Will Remain Prime Minister Until Next Elections, Don't Jump Up and Down in Vain, Marukyan
Edmon Marukyan has stated that there is an anti-propaganda campaign against the "Bright Armenia" party, particularly in the press, claiming attempts are being made to overthrow Nikol Pashinyan through him. In a video posted on his Facebook page, Marukyan denied such reports, labeling them as brazen lies.
“We have long closed the chapter of the past. Having closed that chapter, we do not imagine ourselves in such domains. Let those people sit quietly in their place and not try to smear us. Those who privatized that kindergarten and representatives of the former regime have no chance at all. In Armenia, a legitimate parliament and government have been formed through elections, and Pashinyan will be Prime Minister until the next elections. Jumping up and down in vain won’t change anything,” said Marukyan.
He also referred to two bills brought to the National Assembly by the LHK, one aimed at making companies engaged in mining public, and the other concerning the application of the law regarding the return of income tax when purchasing apartments in regions from the secondary market. He noted that both bills were rejected in the committee meeting.
At the end of the video, Marukyan addressed the secret report mentioned by the Prime Minister, asserting that the report indeed exists. “I have familiarized myself with that report and insist that it does exist. It was written about our situation back in 2014,” said Marukyan.
